First of all, I found out that "30 day Singer" website is quite popular among Vocal Websites. So, I was curious about it. As it gives 14-day free trial, I joined the premium membership without much thinking.
Once I went into home page, I was a little bit impressed. Lessons are well organized with specific topics. There are four major categories: Beginner, Advanced, Techniques and Warm Ups.
If you are a completely beginner and don't know where to start, there are three 30-day beginner courses from three instructors. You can choose the course from the instructor that you like. For me, personally, I chose 30 day beginner course with Camille. But if you are male, I think Jonathan E. and Jon S. will be suitable for you.
On techniques page, you will find the courses covering the subjects of vocal techniques like vibrato, pitch and intonation, registers, tones, ear training etc.
On Warm Up page, there are tons of warmups for your daily routine and vocal health.
Once you have advanced in singing, you can take courses from Advanced page. Advanced page is mainly focused on vocal styles like classical, pop, R&B, how to sing Capella, how to play instruments and sing at the same time etc.
For premium users, it offers face-to-face group lessons once a week to give you some feedbacks and guide you through your singing journey.
Pros And Cons
As I have talked about a quick overview of how it works, now it's time for pros and cons of 30 day Singer.
Pros
- Lessons are well-organized and easy to follow along.
- There is a discussing forum where you can ask any questions. You can expect the reply from the instructor within a couple of days. Even when you are not a premium member, you can use that forum.
- Customer support is amazing. If you email them, they will reply to you in a short amount of time.
- You can ask a refund if you are not happy with your purchase. I have tried that before. They will give you a refund without asking any reasons.
- Not only the video lessons, you will also get invitations to attend weekly group live sessions. That's amazing, because if you just follow along the videos, you won't be sure what you're doing is right or wrong.
- You can also book one-on-one private lessons with the instructor you like. It's not too expensive when compared to other vocal coaching services.
- If you can't afford premium membership, you can learn singing in their YouTube Channel for free! On YouTube, Camille often do live streaming focusing on each specific topic and technique. Here is the link to their YouTube channel>> Isn't it cool? One hour of free live streaming! Check out their channel. I promise you won't regret.
Cons
- If you are currently living in Asian countries, weekly group live sessions might not for you. It's of course, because of the time zone. When I received the invitation link and checked the time, it's 3 am in my country. Even if I could get up at that time, it might not be fun for my neighbors. Imagine, while everyone is sleeping, you will be singing out loud and doing vocal warm up. LOL. It'll surely be annoying.
Well, that's all of the cons that I have found for now. If I can find a new cons, I'll update later.
Thank you so much for reading till the end. See ya Later!
